Why Skipping Breakfast Is A Very Bad Idea

I was in my favorite breakfast joint this morning and seated
across from me was a table of five women, all dressed in work
out gear. Two of the women looked pretty good in spandex,
which is hard to do. The other three should have checked with
a wardrobe consultant, before going out in public. The trouble
with spandex is that works the same way as a sound amplifier.
It makes everything bigger and on these three, no amplification
was really necessary.

They were yammering on, as only a table of five women can do,
and they were talking about their diet and one of the heifers says,
"I never eat breakfast. "This sentiment was echoed by a second
heifer and the third said she skipped about half the time, to
"save calories." The two lookers both said they ate breakfast.

Skipping breakfast is a notoriously bad idea.

"Why Dr. Bill?"

Because fat burning is dependent on food.

By eating a number of times during the day, you are telling
the olde bod that there is no scarcity of food. The olde bod
responds by releasing fat as energy, rather than storing it.
This stokes your metabolism into high gear.

This is why breakfast is so important.

When your eyes first focus in the morning, you have been
fasting for anywhere between 7 to 10 hours. Flubber storage
is at its peak. If you don’t eat breakfast to kickstart your
metabolism, then every ounce of flubber gets pushed into
storage. The main storage areas are the gut, the S and the
thighs.

If you don’t have flubber to store, then the olde bod will
convert carbohydrates to flubber, in order to preserve
flubber for energy.

This is why low flubber diets are garbage. (But they are still
being recommended by all kinds of flubber goorooze.)

You have to eat to lose weight. You cannot skip meals
and get good results. If you are hungry and need to snack
all the time…it’s a clue that you are not eating enough at
meal time. Men should be able to go 3-4 hours between
meals and women 4-5. (Different metabolisms.)

You can eat three or four times a day — that’s a personal
preference. You have to work that out for yourself. I’m a three
meal guy (plus small snacks), but I know many people that
are four.

Whatever you do…don’t skip breakfast…there’s a reason it’s
been called "the most important meal of the day."
