A gentleman from Washington State lost 21 pounds in 60 days
eating only (gasp)… potatoes. Poatoes are certainly the enemy in
many a diet from the past and in the present, as well. While the diet swamis
recommend pizza, pie and cake, they either blast, or completely
omit the princely tuber, as something you can consume.
Their arguments are always the same: "too much starch!" or "too
high in carbs!" They act like potatoes could kill you, if one happened
to slide down your gullet. There isn’t much of a chance of that happening
anytime soon. (Unless my sister-in-law cooked for you…but then, it could be
anything she put on your plate.)
Our friend from Washington consumed over 400 pounds of delectable
spuds over 60 days…and in every shape and form imaginable. He
averaged about 20 potatoes a day, during his quest.
He would eat 3 pounds of mashed, 2 pounds fried and 2 pounds of
roasted. He seasoned his taters with rosemary, thyme, oregano, dill,
mustard seed, cinnamon and nutmeg, to spice things up. He created
a special gravy, made of potatoes, boullion and potato starch, for a treat.
For the Holidays, he created a turtato, a 5 pound chunk of mashed, molded
into the shape of a turkey, basted with olive oil and broiled.
He ended his 60 day diet with steak fajitas and…some roasted potatoes.
During his self imposed Tuberthon, his weight dropped from 197 to 176,
a total of 21 pounds.
Several diet gurus became suicidal, when informed of his success.
They are all resting comfortably at the moment.
This sort of proves my point that you can lose weight on most diets.
That doesn’t mean that it’s particularly healthy, or that you can keep
the weight off for any sustained period of time, which is really the goal.
And nobody can realistically eat just one food for very long. You
shouldn’t even try anything like this. (Unless you really, really, really
like potatoes…or God knows what else.)
If you need diet advice that’s on the money… from someone who
lost 55+ pounds…and kept it off, warm up your credit card right here:

There’s no reason to ask a psychic for a second opinion, get started now.
I’ll be back tomorrow with more.
